The field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is rapidly advancing, making it critical for Kosovo’s education system to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to contribute to the country’s economic growth and development. To achieve this, the Erasmus+ DI-PhDICTKES project has developed the following materials:
Policy Document for National Research School – The policy document outlines the mission and vision of the national research school, as well as its organizational structure and governance. The policy document serves as a roadmap for the school’s development and ensures alignment with Kosovo’s broader goals for ICT education.
Drafting the Three-Year Ph.D. Curricula in ICT in Kosovo – The three-year Ph.D. curricula in ICT provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the latest developments in ICT and the research skills they need to excel in the field. The curricula cover core areas of ICT research, such as software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, data science, cybersecurity, and information systems, with opportunities for students to specialize in their areas of interest.
Designing the Courses Required for the First Year of Ph.D. Studies – The first year of Ph.D. studies is a critical period for students to develop foundational knowledge and skills. The courses required for the first year of Ph.D. studies are carefully designed to cover topics such as research methods, research ethics, and soft skills.
Validation of Ph.D. Program in ICT – The validation process ensures that the educational programs of the national research school meet the highest standards of quality and relevance.
Moreover, the project results have already been helpful for the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering for its process in preparation of the self-evaluation report that has been submitted to Kosovo Accreditation Agency. The accreditation decision is expected to be received in mid-2023.
