This thesis presents a robotic arm which is able to play the game of checkers against humans. The game is played on a chessboard, where the robotic arm is placed in front of the human and the static camera is placed at the left side of the chessboard. The camera is used for identifying the game state and human moves, and the robot’s next move is decided based on data gathered by the camera. As a robotic arm we used the model Dobot Magician of the Dobot company, which is multifunctional and designed for practical training in education. We used Python programming language for image processing and realizing robotic arm movements.
