She currently works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics, Lund University.
She received PhD degree from Linnaeus University. She has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Växjö University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from South East European University. She has also worked in the industry as a software engineer and a database administrator.
Here research is within the area of Information Systems Security, which concerns one of the most crucial resources of our human and social affairs: Information. Here focus is on information systems security in organizations, with the objective to explore and understand employees’ compliance and noncompliance behavior with information security policies. Thus, here intention is to explore the role of insecurity of information in organizations that many times contributes to problems in a disorderly fashion, often occurring through information technology.
She is an affiliated senior with the Swedish Research School of Management and IT (MIT), and a committee member of the IFIP 9.2. Currently, she is also acting as a special issue editorial review board for the European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS) Special Issue on Security and Privacy in 21st Century Organizations.
