Today marks an important milestone for the field of information and communication technology in Kosovo, as the National Research School in ICT (NRSI) is being inaugurated. The National Research School in ICT (NRSI) is a product of the PhDICTKES project, which was initiated to provide specialized training and education to students and professionals in the field of ICT.
The inauguration ceremony was held earlier today and was attended by high-ranking officials, academics, professionals, and students from Kosovo and abroad. The ceremony included speeches by officials and academics, as well as presentations on the vision and goals of the National Research School in ICT (NRSI).
The National Research School in ICT (NRSI) is designed to provide high-quality education and training in ICT, with a focus on advanced topics such as artificial intelligence, big data, cybersecurity, and internet of things. The school aims to produce highly skilled professionals who can meet the demands of the growing ICT sector in Kosovo and beyond.
The PhDICTKES project is a joint initiative of the Kosovo government, the European Union, and local and international universities and organizations as Linnaeus University (LNU), Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) South-East European Research Centre (SEERC) University of Prishtina (UP) UBT College (UBT) Ukshin Hoti University (UHU) Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST). The project aims to support the development of the ICT sector in Kosovo by providing specialized training and education, promoting research and innovation, and creating new job opportunities.
The inauguration of the National Research School in ICT (NRSI) is a significant achievement for Kosovo and a step forward in the country’s efforts to develop a strong and competitive ICT sector. It is hoped that the school will produce a new generation of highly skilled professionals who will drive innovation and growth in the sector.
